The original 'hard cheese' that was first produced by Romans over two thousand years ago; while obviously none still survives from those days we have to imagine that it's just as tasty as back then.

What's it taste like? This lovely Pecorino is glorious at any time of the day. This Toscano Stagionato is so called because the milk is taken from Tuscan sheep during June and September only and then matured into a beautiful sweet tasting cheese that is perfection with dried meats and olives.

Where's it from? This is Sardinian Toscano Stagionato DOP. It comes wrapped as a minimum weighted segment of 200g.
