Pong's Opinion

The same as normal, tasty Swaledale but this one saves on a journey to the pub because they've added Old Peculier traditional ale to the curd which creates a fantastically unique taste.

What's it taste like? Mild and smooth with a slight tang. Swaledale is creamy in colour with a soft moist open texture. This version has had Old Peculier Ale added to the curd to give a distinct look and taste.

Where's it from? Made by David and Mandy Reed of the Swaledale Cheese company in Richmond, North Yorkshire. Swaledale Old Peculier comes as a 450g whole cheese in a truckle. Suitable for vegetarians.
