Pong's Opinion

Legend has it that the Duke of Wellington had this gorgeous cheese made on his estate, hence the name.

And lets face it the Duke knew and loved his food. Waterloo is quite remarkable.

What's it taste like? Waterloo is mild and creamy when young but develops a fuller flavour when ripened. Waterloo is a cow's milk cheese with a sweet and smooth taste and a golden yellow paste.

Where's it from? Made by legend Anne Wigmore of Village Maid Cheese near Reading, Berks. This UNPASTEURISED Waterloo comes as a 500g circular cheese of pure pleasure. Suitable for vegetarians.
